HOW TO RECOGNIZE MARSHY AREAS ?

A swamp is a low, humid and sinking land, occasionally
inundated and colonized by marshes, harboring a bog
at times.
Swamps are plots of land with stagnating water.
There is a whole host of ways to determine the swampiness
of a piece of land.
You may inquire close to neighbors to find out if the
land is often marshy in a typical dry year. If you have 90%
of land surface covered with marshes in a typical dry year,
it will be a waste of time to attempt development over there.
Swamp land can be hazardous for building houses as
it can be unsteady and crumble.
It is prohibited to build a house on marshy land in an
urban setting
